In today’s episode we will be going to explore THE HINDU’s editorial “IMD forecast: Clouds of prosperity” for words with rich vocabulary.

Word 1

Prospect

Class : Noun
Meaning : a person regarded as likely to succeed or as a potential customer, client, etc..

Synonyms : Chance, Possibilities
Antonyms : Miss, Bygone

Example Sentences:

The company is exploring the prospect of making machine-made pots to meet the demand.

It is not a prospect which he anticipates with much enthusiasm.

Word 2

Drought

Class : Noun
Meaning : a prolonged period of abnormally low rainfall; a shortage of water resulting from this.

Synonyms : Dryness, Scarcity
Antonyms : Wetness, Overflow

Example Sentences:

The water hit me cool and refreshingly; like a rain storm after a prolonged drought .
