Maiden International Title for Pratul joshi

Young Indian shuttler Pratul Joshi clinched his maiden international title by notching up a hard-fought win over his brother Aditya, the fourth seed, 21-17, 12-21, 21-15 in the final of 2the $17,500 Bahrain International Challenge badminton tournament at Segayya in Bahrain on Sunday.

In the semifinals, Pratul beat compatriot Siddharth Thakur 21-16, 22-20, while Aditya stunned top seed Anand Pawar 21-19, 21-7.

The results (finals):

Men: Pratul Joshi by Aditya Joshi 21-17, 12-21, 21-15. Doubles: Vighnesh Devlekar & Rohan Kapoor lost to Evgenij Dremin & Denis Grachev (Rus) 18-21, 17-21.
